Working on a TV show means long hours (min 12 hours, sometimes all day, sometimes all night) being in all sorts of weather conditions, and if filming in the woods, like on the set of the WGN's new series The Outsiders, it also means bugs, ticks and snakes! OH MY! it also means helping to create memorable characters. It's definitely a team effort. We were lead by our amazing Key Hairstylist, Karen Lovell.  She allowed me to create the earthy rustic red hair colour for star, Gillian Alexy's character G'Winn, and I did a Japanese Straightener on Ryan Hurst so Karen could create the backwoods Man Bun for Ryan's Character Lil Foster. In addition to working with these two stars, I worked on a multitude of background characters to help create the gritty, real feel of living in the woods, off the grid style that was a cross between, biker chic , mad max and hippy commune style looks.
